What a MilesBeyond package actually is

Most travel websites show you a package with a headline price, a photograph that may or may not be the hotel, and a list of inclusions written to sound generous. Then you call, and the price changes, and the hotel is different, and there is a supplement you did not expect.

We work the other way round. You tell us what you want; we send you a written itinerary with hotels named, transfers described, and a price with a full breakdown. Inclusions and exclusions are listed separately and plainly, so you know what you are paying for before you pay anything. If the number is higher than you hoped, we will tell you what to change to bring it down rather than quietly downgrading something.

That approach takes longer than sending a brochure, which is why we plan a limited number of trips at a time and why most of our travellers come to us through someone who has already travelled with us.

The kinds of trips we plan

• Family holidays

  The hardest itinerary to get right, because it has to work for a nine-year-old and a seventy-year-old at the same time. We plan shorter driving days, hotels with pools that are genuinely usable, meals that suit everyone, and at least one day with nothing scheduled. We also ask about mobility and medical needs at the enquiry stage rather than discovering them on day two.

• Honeymoon packages

  Fewer moving parts, better rooms, and the celebration details arranged in advance rather than requested at check-in. We handle the decorated room, the private dinner, the photographer or the cake, and we book the kind of hotel where the staff will actually make a fuss of you. • Friends and group trips

  More flexibility, later starts, and a budget conversation held honestly at the beginning so nobody is uncomfortable later. We are used to splitting costs across a group, handling different arrival flights, and booking accommodation that lets everyone stay together.

• Corporate and offsite travel

  Coordinated flights, a single invoice, meeting space where it is needed, and a team-building day that people do not resent. We handle the logistics so your HR team does not spend three weeks on spreadsheets.

• Custom and milestone trips

  A sixtieth birthday, a silver anniversary, a first trip abroad for parents, a long-postponed solo journey. These need more conversation and less template, which is the part of the job we enjoy most.

How the planning process works

There are four steps and none of them commit you to anything until the last one.

You tell us the shape of the trip. Travel month, number of travellers, roughly what you want to spend, and anything that matters: a wedding anniversary, a parent who cannot walk far, a child who will not eat anything unfamiliar. The more you tell us at this stage, the better the first draft is.

We send a written itinerary. Usually within a day. Hotels by name, a day-by-day plan, transfers, and a transparent price. You will also see what is not included, which is the part most people skip and later regret.

You change whatever you want. Most itineraries go through two or three rounds. Add a night, drop a day trip, swap a hotel, change the order. None of this costs anything and none of it is treated as an inconvenience.

We book, then we stay available. Once you confirm, we handle the bookings, the visas and the documents. From the day you leave until the day you return, you have our number on WhatsApp for anything at all.

What we do not do

We do not add shopping stops that pay us a commission. We do not put a cheaper hotel in a package and describe it as similar. We do not quote a low headline price and add mandatory supplements later. And we will tell you when an optional excursion is not worth your money, even though selling it would be easier.
