Why we started
MilesBeyond began because of a fairly common frustration. Booking a holiday in India had become either a call centre reading from a script, or an online portal where you assemble everything yourself and hope it works out. Neither of those is planning. Both leave you carrying the risk.
We thought there was room for something in between: a small team that actually knows the destinations, writes you a real itinerary, tells you the truth about what is worth doing, and is still reachable when your flight is delayed at eleven at night. That is the whole idea, and it has not changed.
How we work
Every trip starts with a conversation rather than a brochure. We ask about your group before we ask about your budget, because a holiday that suits four adults is not the same holiday that suits two adults, two children and a grandparent, even at identical cost.
Then we write you an itinerary. Hotels named. Transfers described. A price with the inclusions and the exclusions listed separately, so you know exactly what you are buying. You change whatever you want, as many times as you want, before anything is confirmed.
After you book, we handle the arrangements and then we stay available. Our number is on WhatsApp for the whole trip. Flight delay, hotel problem, a change of plan, someone falls ill: message us and we deal with it from Coimbatore. We have rebooked hotels at midnight and rerouted a family around a closed mountain road. That is the job.
What we care about
Telling you the truth
If we think a day trip is not worth the money, we say so, even though selling it would be easier. If a hotel looks better in photographs than in person, we will tell you. If your budget will not stretch to the trip you are describing, we would rather say it in week one than dress up a compromise.
Pricing that does not move
The number in your itinerary is the number you pay. No supplements that appear at booking, no mandatory extras that were not mentioned, no shopping stops built in because somebody pays us a commission for them.
Planning for the group you actually have
Mobility, dietary needs, medical conditions, the child who will not sit still for four hours: these are the things that determine whether a holiday works. We ask about them at the start, not after something goes wrong.
Being reachable
A holiday is the one purchase where problems happen after you have paid and while you are far from home. Being contactable during that window is not a bonus feature; it is most of the value.
Where we plan trips
Internationally, we work most in Southeast Asia and the Gulf: Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Dubai and the Maldives, along with Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Within India we plan Kashmir, Kerala, Goa, Rajasthan, Himachal, Uttarakhand and the Andamans.
If your destination is not on that list, ask anyway. We would rather tell you honestly that we are not the right people for a particular trip than plan something we do not know well.

About us
Where is MilesBeyond based?
We are based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Most of our travellers are from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem and the surrounding districts, though we plan trips for people across India.
Is MilesBeyond a large agency?
No, and that is deliberate. We are a small team, which means the person who plans your trip is the person who answers when you message from the airport. It also means we take on a limited number of trips at a time.
Do you speak Tamil?
Yes. You can plan your entire trip in Tamil, English or a mix of both, whichever is comfortable. This matters more than people expect, particularly when parents are involved in the decision.
How do you make money if you do not add commission stops?
We earn through the standard trade margins on bookings, which are built into the price you see. What we do not do is accept commissions for routing you to particular shops or selling excursions we do not think are worth it. The two are different things.
